Public Relations | Social Media | Web Content Management

Writing is my passion. Whether it is in the form of a tweet, blog post, news release, feature article or marketing plan, I can cohesively communicate an organization's message across multiple platforms.

I currently live in Tallahassee, working for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in the press office, working on communications iniatiitves with the district offices as coordinating the production of collateral materials.

I graduated in December 2013 with a degree in public relations from Harding University in Searcy, Ark. During my sophomore year, I studied abroad in Paris, France with eight other students and faculty from Harding. Living in Europe for three months taught me to have a global outlook on culture and trends and to communicate with others despite language barriers. I discovered my love of traveling and documenting my adventures through narrative and photos.

I started a travel and lifestyle blog, Stamp in My Passport, after I returned from Paris both as a way to share travel advice and as a creative outlet. What began as a personal project has since grown to 1,400+ followers (RSS feeds, Twitter and Facebook) and through the process I have learned how to market myself and create an engaged audience.

I have a wide variety of public relations and communications experience working with both nonprofits, agencies, and state government handling their content management, media relations, social media and event planning.
